Close to the Piazzetta, it is “the” big ice cream shop. We are fans of Sicilian pistachio, gianduja (chocolate and hazelnuts) or lemon. ”

Faraglioni

One of the most famous addresses in Capri. The old-fashioned charm of its frescoes and its small private huts have a certain cachet. The quality of the food, quite plentiful, the service and the choice of wines explain its success. In full sun or by candlelight, the restaurant is often full. Better to book at noon for the evening.

Aurora

“The best pizzas on a wood fire! Reverse of the medal: it’s crowded. It is necessary to wait for finally having a place on the small terrace of this mythical restaurant.

The oldest restaurant on the island (1912) has been managed for three generations by the D’Alessio family. Its fine and traditional cuisine is a delight for gourmets. Taste the pizza all’acqua, house specialty. It is made of a very fine paste, delicious, and contributes to the reputation of the establishment. The menus vary according to the seasons, no freezer for the fish bought day by day. All the stars passing on the island have lunch or dinner here, as evidenced by some photos. The choice of wines from all over Italy is without doubt the best of Capri. Mia, the granddaughter of Mr. Gennaro D’Alessio, is also a recognized sommelier. The service is efficient and even during the shot the wait is short. The excellent desserts are homemade. A tip: the chocolate and almond Capri pie. Happiness is in the plate from the beginning to the end of the meal. A restaurant not to be missed.

Open since 1931, it is one of the oldest restaurants on the island. One of the most famous also: Versace, Armani, Marcello Mastroianni, Julia Roberts or Dustin Hoffmann have lunch or dinner there. Antonio and his wife Aurélia receive you with innate kindness. Of the three rooms in the restaurant, the one in the middle seems the most interesting. The garden of the De Angelis family has been replaced by the back terrace. It is still a little today with its multitude of plants and green tiles. At noon, the restaurant is quite quiet, in the evening the reservation is obligatory. More than 500 wines à la carte.

Pulalli Wine Bar

Here is a real good plan and the view of the small square of Capri is the most beautiful there is. Stuck to the steeple of the church, the restaurant and its terrace dominate the tourist bustle. It allows to observe quietly the ebb and flow of visitors. Fabrizio, the boss, is passionate about wine and the choice of his card attests: more than 300 Italian bottles. To accompany it, pasta dishes or the house specialty fritto misto. The decoration of the interior room done by a Neapolitan architect is modern and successful. Finally to access it and it is finally the hardest, you must, to the right of the tourist office, take the small staircase of the clock tower
